Tzatziki Sauce Recipe

One of my favorites things to eat back home was tzatziki with either pitta bread, or just bread, or with any dish. When I moved away I had to make it my self so this is my recipe.

Ingredients

Tzatziki Sauce Ingredients

  • 35.3 Ounce Fage Total 0% Greek Yogurt
  • 4-5 Garlic Gloves (or Garlic Tube around 4 Tablespoons, I use that because its way easier)
  • 2 Cucambers
  • Dill
  • 1 Lemon

Preparation

Preparation of the cucumbers

Peel the skin off the cucumbers and open them up in half like the picture above

Remove the seeds

With a spoon remove the seeds from the cucumbers and try to dry them off with some paper towels.

Shred & Drain

Shred the cucumber with a like a cheese shredder and late it drain the water out.

Mean while we will start with the yogurt while the cucumbers are being drained.

Yogurt

Open up the yogurt and remove the little white paper and drain the water that is on the top.

Then dump the yogurt into a large bowl.

Once you empty all the yogurt into the large bowl add:

  • Garlic
  • Dill
  • Some Pepper & Salt
  • and squeeze half of the lemon

Add the cucumber

After all the ingredients add your drained cucumber shreds and start mixing everything.

And then mix some more till everything is evenly mixed together!

Olive Oil

Once everything is evenly mixer together add a final option secret ingredient. 2 Tablespoons of extra Virgin Oil.

Once everything is mixed together put it on the refregirator for couple hours and after that is ready to be served.
